John is officially out of his teens, and I now have a 20-year-old! That is craziness, but it's good craziness. His birthday was last month, and he celebrated it on his mission with some really kind families who helped him and his companion (whose birthday was the day before John's) celebrate. I'm so grateful they did that. For my part, I sent him a big birthday package with various gifts, and we got to talk to him on his special day.
This family (the Passeys) made John and his companion each their own fancy cake and decorated with streamers and balloons. People's generosity and goodness astound me!
John's cake was full of candy and sugar, exactly what he likes.
This was with the other family who they celebrated with. So nice!
Also celebrating birthdays in March were Elizabeth and Rocco, who have the same birthday for some extra fun mother-son specialness. Rocco turned sweet 16! He really is a sweet guy, too.
