John's Mission Pics, Nov.-Dec. 2024

I'm happy to report that John is doing well on his mission! He had his first transfer happen in November and he's up in a mountainous town now that's closer to Denver where they're finding a lot of people who are interested in learning more about the gospel. His companion is Elder Frenkel from Germany, and they get along really well. I love seeing John's growth and enthusiasm. He's still the same John, but better. I'm so thankful he chose to serve a mission. I miss him a lot—more than I thought I would (especially during Christmas)—but the sacrifice is worth it. Five months down, nineteen more to go!

Elder Frenkel wrote this and it cracks me up 😂

I always tap the heart for John's posts 🩷

Here's another picture that cracks me up!
He and his fellow missionaries were having fun on their P-Day. They found some sheet masks in the bathroom and John multitasked and indulged in both skincare and a Nerf gun battle simultaneously. 😆

This is a tie the mission president gave him.

Food is still a big part of John's life!

Sushi (💀)

John does all the driving in this companionship because it's complicated for a non-citizen to get a U.S. driver's license, even a temporary two-year one. John doesn't mind; he loves driving!

Keep up the good work, Elder Carlson!
