November's Cape Escape

I needed to go to the Cape to go to my favorite consignment shop to sell my fancy holiday porch planters that are too big for the small porch at my townhouse (insert small violin playing), so off I went to one of my favorite places (the Cape, not the shop 😅) and my likely future permanent home for a day and two nights! (Now that is a run-on sentence, but it works! Right?)

The sunset sky looked beautiful over the beach soon after I got there. It was low tide and the water was quiet, and the skies were putting on a beautiful bedtime show.

😍😍😍

On the walk home were lights of a different kind—holiday lights! Another favorite. 😊

Happy and content

That evening, I watched a webinar about organizing photos. I also spilled and splattered hot cocoa on myself, my laptop, the couch, and the wall behind the couch. 😨😩

The next day I ran several errands (the first one to the aforementioned consignment shop) and went for a refreshing chilly-air nature walk behind the CCMNH out to the shore. I took the steps-and-stream route this time.

Low tide again

Driftwood and water patterns on the sand from higher tide

I spent most of the rest of my time there working from home. As always, it was nice to get away for a couple of days, and I look forward to doing it again in the not-too-distant future.

P.S. Tomorrow I'll show you a great find I got at the consignment shop!
