I enjoyed a pleasant, relaxing, restoring, rejuvenating, and productive escape to the Cape last month. It was two days and two nights, and I loved every moment of it. I got things done, worked, rested, and relished the fresh ocean breezes and views.
I went on one of my favorite walks, on the trail behind the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History that goes over to and through Wing Island and out to the shore. I like that this trail includes woods, sea, sand, dunes, and marshland.
Look at those rays of light shining down onto the path through the woods below! So much symbolism there for our path through life back to Heavenly Father and the heavenly help we have along the way. 😊
Fall = bales of hay
Working at my laptop in my new blue-light blocking glasses (which work well and have greatly reduced my eye strain!).
Another one of my favorite walks, this one in my neighborhood.
I love the colors and scenery of fall.
I've been keeping track of the progress on these two new houses that have been going up since the spring. On this lot used to site an old but cute little forest green house. Now, two McMansions!
Red berries, always so festive and cheerful!
This house does cute and seasonal tea set decorations out on the table throughout the year.
I like the contrast here of the flip-flop covered mailbox (summer!) with the leaves covering the grass behind (fall!).
I'll try to get a picture of it in winter with snow on the ground (hopefully there will be snow this winter!). Now that's a contrast!
It was a great escape to the Cape, and I'm looking forward to my next one, which is coming up soon!
