General Conference is always a peaceful weekend in my home, full of the Spirit and truly inspired divine guidance. It never fails to reinforce my feelings of peace, joy, and hope. My whole reason for being here is to make it back to live with my Heavenly Father through my Savior Jesus Christ, and the things I learn at Conference help me to do that; therefore, it is very important to me.
Sam during the first Saturday session
The LDS World Report was on while I decorated for Halloween between sessions.
The late afternoon light shining into the front hall was so bright and happy. An apt analogy to Conference with light, brightness, and happiness!
We have special foods during Conference weekend as part of our traditions. On Saturday night we had a breakfast dinner of pancakes, fruit salad, and bacon. The bacon came out so crispy and delicious! I only make it a few times a year, so it's a real treat when we have it.
We had cinnamon rolls on Sunday morning and pot roast for dinner.
Sam got comfy and cozy on Sunday. He may or may not have dozed off for a bit. 😉
It was President Nelson's first Conference being 100 years old! I'm so glad he's still with us.
He's in a wheelchair now. He's 100 after all. I love him so much.
President Nelson gave another amazing talk. He's pretty much telling the world that the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is going to happen (sooner rather than later—my interpretation!) and we need to be ready for it. Very exciting!
And New Jersey is going to get a temple in the area where I used to work! 🙌 It was a great weekend.
