Here are some of the random happenings of September, at least as far as my camera goes.
It was a beautiful day for the annual Poly Arts Festival on the town common. We've really had a glorious fall this year, from beginning to middle (so far).
This was a cute owl clock in a shop at Pickity Place. If I had a baby, this would go in his or her room!
Maybe I should have put this in yesterday's wisdom post. I've long been a big believer in absolute truths (as opposed to relative truths), so I wholeheartedly agree with Elder Uchtdorf's quote here. And while I'm not a big fan of math, this math problem is pretty cool.
I really like this hand cream that's on the librarian's desk in the Young Adult room at work. It smells so good, and it works so well. I want to get a tube (or two) for myself, and I took a picture to remind me.
At the library again. I want to check this book out because I'm working on improving my Spanish (this is a never-ending thing for me π).
Short stories are less intimidating than whole novels, which I actually used to read for my Spanish college classes. But it's been a long time since then, y mi espanol necesita ayuda!
I read an interesting article about a famous editor, and I liked what it said about what editors do.
I love being an editor. I'm definitely more of the type that puts commas around words than runs magazines and publishing houses, but I'm at an editorial management level in my two main editing jobs and I get to do more things beyond pure editing (which is still my favorite). I'm really enjoying the work, and I'm learning a ton.
National history, and family history. π
'Tis the season! To the detriment of my overall health each fall, I love these.
I watched Anne of Green Gables a couple of weeks ago for the first time in many years, and it's definitely still one of my favorite movies ever. It always will be!
My laptop's screen changes pictures, and one day it had this adorable saw-whet owl on it. I tried to figure out how to get it to stay as my permanent screensaver, but I failed. I'll try again when it comes up in Dell's programmed rotation. So cute!
I checked this book in at the library and sent a picture of it to Sam to tease him. π
A lovely September walk on a woods trail in my neighborhood.
