I went for some visually pleasing, mentally stimulating, and physically exhilarating walks in July (minus the bugs, which were heavy at times!). Most of these pictures are from one of my favorite trails that's a few minutes away from my house. I feel so blessed to live in and near the woods of New England.
I saw a deer! It was very still and didn't run away. This was progress in my desire to become friends with the woodland creatures! 😄

Fun fact: I was walking on this part of the trail yesterday and a big furry fox ran into the woods in front of me! (Another woodland creature friend, even though it ran away from me!)
Not only do I have hydrangeas at the Cape house, there's also a pretty bush of them at my main house. This was a nice surprise last month since I've only lived here for a year and last year the hydrangeas didn't bloom.
It's near my front stoop. It's the one nice thing in my little yard!
And while I'm on the subject of flowers...
My friends Terry and Pam got me this pretty bouquet the week after Violet died.
I kept them until the last daisies were done.
My friend Janet gave me this pretty pot of mini pale pink roses for my birthday. Pale pink roses are my favorite flower!
I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again: I'm so thankful for the beauties of nature, from wild woods to formal flower arrangements, and for how they enrich and beautify my life in so many ways. 💚
