Around the House in June

Here are pictures from around the house in June, plus a smattering of selfies that happened around the house because I was having a pretty good hair month and couldn't get enough of myself. I kid, I kid (kind of 😜).

For various reasons, the dining room table was NOT working out very well for John's Fortnite playing. I set up a card table in his room and had him move everything up there. Balance was restored once again.

Oh, hi again! Aren't my hair and shirt pretty? 😂

I decorated for summer for the first time in my new place. (I've been here for a year now but it still feels like "my new place"!) I take pictures to document where I put seasonal decorations and then I store them in a file on my computer to refer to in the future. It makes decorating much easier and faster. Just call me Martha Stewart! 😄

The golden sea coral had to go somewhere, so here it went.

I don't have a fireplace mantel or built-in bookshelves anymore, but I do have this handy-dandy kitchen ledge!

Patriotic mice. I'm not a fan of mice but these ones are cute!

Patriotic owls

More summer stuff on the kitchen ledge

This is one of my favorite spring/summer "dishscapes" that I stream from YouTube.

Here I was mugging for a selfie before I started hosting the Op-Ed Lab's live office hour. 😁

Oh hi, it's me again. 😆 I had gotten a new lipstick shade and I liked it.

More stripes and selfies

I did a thing here where I positioned myself under the sea coral so that it looked like a crown. Because I'm a sea princess like Ariel, or better yet, I'm Triton's queen! (I know, I know. Don't send help, I'm fine.)

These were picturesque scenes from When Calls the Heart. I'm so happy that Elizabeth and Nathan finally got together. I hope they'll get married in the next season and have a happy blended family and that the show won't drag it out forever.

I'm keeping this flag out all summer, not just for the Fourth. I love my country even though it feels like it's starting to come apart. More on that tomorrow in Crazy Times!
