I've been in my new house for seven weeks now, and I'm happy to report that I really do like it and it feels like home. I still miss things about my old house, but I've settled in nicely to the new place. I like the more cozy feel and compact layout of my new house as opposed to all of the space in my old house. I'm happy here and I feel like this is where I'm supposed to be.
I'm also happy to report that the house is mostly unpacked and organized. {Except for the basement, don't go down there! 😱 And the upstairs bookshelves, which aren't organized at all yet!} The first few weeks were full of unpacking and organizing and trying to decide what goes where. The first couple of days, it looked like this:
There was a jungle in the kitchen...
The dining room was full of boxes and floor lamps...
The living room was slowly but surely starting to come together...
A small box of breakables fell off a shelf in the master closet and, well, the breakables broke...
