Violet had a softball-sized cyst growing under her neck. She had surgery to remove it the week before we moved and was in recovery mode during the move. (Because what's a little more craziness and busy-ness thrown in when you're moving?!) Fortunately, the surgery went well and she had an excellent recovery from it (the complete opposite of her last surgery at a different place that left her mostly blind in her right eye 😠).
She had to wear this "onesie" for a few weeks to prevent her from messing with the incision and stitches. It's better than a cone!
She's such a good, sweet girl.

I'm so glad that I got a storage unit. It's a good one, and it's indoors, climate-controlled, and easy to access. And it's less than five minutes away from my new house.

I can't get rid of my owl candelabra because it's so awesome, even though I don't use it. Maybe this year for Halloween!
Okay, so I have a lot of holiday decorations! I love them all, but I know that I'm going to have to get rid of probably around half of them because there's no way they'll all fit in my new house on their given holidays.
The empty half of the unit was for the furniture that was going to be moved there on Moving Day that won't fit in my new house but that I want to hold on to. I'm happy to report that everything fit with room to spare. 🙌

I thought I spotted two major typos on this sign at Lowe's, but alas, they turned out to be valid. The copyeditor in me was a little disappointed but also pleased that Lowe's didn't make such a major mistake. "Powder actuated tools" are a thing! I thought it was supposed to say "Power-activated tools." 😆
