In June we celebrated my sister Jennifer's birthday at my house with dinner, cake (my mom made carrot cake, her favorite), and presents.
A few weeks later, Jen and I went to An Unlikely Story to see one of my favorite British mystery authors, Ruth Ware, talk about her new book, Zero Days. I did this same thing at this same store last year for her book The It Girl. It was fun to go again, this time with my sister. Maybe (hopefully) we'll do it again next year if Ruth has a new book coming out then.
We had good seats that weren't too far from the front.
We had our books autographed and took a picture with Ruth. She is genuinely so nice and pleasant to talk with.
Incidentally, tonight Jen and my mom and I are going out to dinner and then to see the Barbie movie. The fun times never end! 😉
