Fall Foliage 2022

I was pleasantly surprised by the vibrancy of the fall foliage in New England this year! After a hot, dry summer, the foliage is usually more lackluster in the fall--not as bright with the leaves dropping faster--but that didn't happen this year. My guess is the fall rain helped saved the foliage, but whatever the reason, I'm thankful for the beauty we were able to enjoy this fall season.

I thought the contrast of the yellow leaves with the green grass was pretty.

Backyard visual bliss 😍

I took some pictures of Sam with the trees in the side yard.

If you look close you can see it, but it's kind of hard to tell that there were leaves fluttering down all around him because he'd just been hanging on the ninja line and that knocked a bunch of leaves loose. It was so picturesque and magical, like a fall version of a snow globe. I wish my phone had captured it better but it only has one camera lens instead of two or three.

One of my favorite quotes that I like to meditate on in the fall, especially when I go for walks, is "Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree." (Emily Bronte) 🍁🍂🍁
I'm thankful that it was a beautiful fall!
