Once again, General Conference weekend didn't disappoint!
We continued with what's been working for us for the last couple of Conferences. It minimizes conflict and greatly decreases fighting, which helps the boys to to listen better and hear more, which contributes to us all being able to relax and enjoy the sessions better. They have to watch the Saturday morning session but can use screens during it if they choose, they can choose whether or not to "attend" Saturday afternoon and same with Saturday evening (unless it's a priesthood session), and the two Sunday sessions are mandatory with no screens for Sunday morning and the choice of using them for Sunday afternoon. And no screens whenever the prophet speaks. I would prefer that there be no screens at all (except for the TV screen obviously) and that they watch every session, but I'm finding that compromising and letting them have some choice on this is working best.
Even though he's on his iPad, he's listening. How much is actually sinking in is debatable, but at least he's hearing the words and music and feeling the Spirit that comes with them.
Violet's a good girl; she doesn't use screens during any of Conference! π
Conference selfie!
Not to be a priss (too late!) but I watch every session and take notes and don't go on my phone much at all during them. During the slightly :cough:boring:cough: talks and during some of the music I sometimes work on lists or in my planner and quiet little things like that. But mostly, I'm there for Conference and to be spiritually nourished, uplifted, and inspired.

Sunday afternoon session. Do you see John? Me neither, but he's there. π
I love President Nelson! Following his counsel has blessed my life immensely! He really is the Lord's true prophet on the earth today.
For Sunday dinner we had our traditional pot roast, potatoes, and carrots. It was a delicious way to wrap up a spiritually delicious weekend. Screens notwithstanding. π
