We had a lovely Relief Society Christmas party at the church in December. I was in the presidency at the time, so I helped (a little) with the planning and I helped decorate for it the morning of. The other counselor, Janet, was in charge of the party and the decorations, and she did an amazing job. I'm so impressed at the talent and gifts of others who are able to make things like this happen!
Janet and her daughter made ALL of the paper snowflakes themselves. All of them, including the hanging ones. Wow!
This is the same gym/cultural hall that I did activities and meetings in as a teenager. It really is neat to live back in my hometown again in so many ways.
Sister Buchman came dressed as Santa. Cute! 🎅🤶
We had a delicious potluck dinner, we played a fun gift exchange game, there was a spiritual message, and everyone went home with one of these nice framed pictures by artist Kate Lee. The party was well-attended, even though Omicron was on the rise, and everyone seemed to have a good time. My friend Beth came and brought a friend of hers and it was really nice to have them there. Neither of them are members of the Church (yet...ha ha).
People were welcome to take snowflakes since there were so many of them. I brought three of them home and displayed them in the back window of the dining room. Perfect!
I love a good Christmas party, and this one didn't disappoint. I love Relief Society, too, and I'm thankful to be a part of it.
