My September outing with friends was to go to Orchard House in Concord with Meredith and Sharalyn. I'd been wanting to go since moving back to Massachusetts, but it had been closed for over a year because of Covid. When it finally opened up again, off we went! I'd been before when I was younger, but it had been a long time (because I'm old).
There aren't a lot of pictures because you can't take pictures inside (which I think is dumb!).
It's a lovely house, inside and out. It's neat to be in the very room where Little Women was written.
It was the second floor window that was Louisa's room where she did her writing.
The three blond amigas, together again!
After Orchard House we had lunch at nice little place in downtown Concord where we had a good discussion about various things, including the Covid vaccine (Sharalyn is for it, I'm (obviously) not, and Meredith is somewhere in the middle). I like that we can talk about hot-button topics and listen to each other and sometimes disagree with each other but still be friends and it doesn't affect anything. I'm so blessed by the "little women" in my life! (Sorry but I wanted to tie in to the main theme of this post somehow! 😄)
