Monet and the MFA

I never realized what a treasure the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston was until I finally went to it! My friend Meredith is a member there and she got me and two other friends hard-to-get tickets for a popular Monet exhibit. It was so nice to go to that and to spend a fun morning at the Museum.

It was neat to see the actual, real paintings that Monet actually painted. I love his art; he's probably one of my favorite artists. His scenes are so peaceful.

The next three paintings remind me of the Cape...

His famous bridge painting

And the famous water lilies!

And the famous haystacks! This is an amazing collection of his work and I'm so glad that I got to see it while it was in Boston.

After we saw the Monet exhibit, we went through some other parts of the Museum. I took pictures of some of my favorite things that I saw.

Moses and Egypt! This painting is called The Seventh Plague of Egypt. I'd never seen it before and I thought it was awesome.

I had to go to the Egypt section! I didn't realize the MFA had so many ancient antiquities. It's smaller than the Met's but it's an amazing collection. My paltry pictures don't begin to do it justice.

This reminded me of the infinity gauntlet from The Avengers

Tut tut

Amenhotep (one of them)

This beautiful painting of George Washington is HUGE!

Classic Boston

It was so nice to go out and get some culture into me! I'm looking forward to my next trip to the MFA. It really is a treasure full of treasures.
