Every few years I do a whole-house decluttering project that only takes about 15 minutes a day, and it works really well. For many reasons this is a good year to declutter, and it's been feeling so good to do it. I've found that for me there are few things better than cleaning out and re-organizing to help me feel better about life and more in control of it. So, to get started, in January I cleaned out and re-organized the kitchen. Here are a few pictures to document my not-too-herculean efforts (because to be honest it was already pretty organized, but it definitely needed some cleaning out and re-organizing).
A separate organizing project that I undertook in January was to clean up the storage room, which had become cluttered and messy over the past year with the arrival of a pallet of food storage buckets, with a lot of things getting moved around for the generator to get hooked up, and with the purchase of a big artificial Christmas tree that gets stored in three giant storage bags.
