You know it's a big storm when it gets its own name! Our nor'easter on December 17th was named "Gail" by the weather people. It She was a pretty storm and in my town we got about 12.5 inches from her. It was a snow day for the school kids here. Zoom-school hasn't taken that away (yet!).
Sam wanted to go outside while it was still snowing, so I helped him get all bundled up.
He doesn't mind the cold--he's around a quarter Finnish so it must come from that.
This would be me ๐
John had no interest in going out in the storm but he did enjoy bossing Sam around (jokingly) while Sam was out there.
Sam "fell" down again; can you see him? ๐
Poor Violet had to make her own path down the deck to the backyard because I was negligent in shoveling a path for her (or in having one of the boys do it). Next time, Violet! (maybe)
But there's a nicely shoveled path! Our lawn service does our plowing and shoveling. ๐
Post-storm scenery...
A blanket of white for the front yard ๐
We made it into The Wall Street Journal the next day.
It was the best snowstorm we've had since moving back to Massachusetts 2-1/2 years ago! And it was perfect for the week before Christmas (even though a rainstorm on Christmas Day washed it all away!).
