The first day of school last year was on Wednesday, August 23rd. It was John's first day of 7th grade and junior high, and Sam was going into second grade (one of my favorite grades for kids!).
This was the first and last day that John wore glasses to school! He insists he doesn't need them, so okay.
Is he a babydoll or what?!
It was their first year not going to the same school and riding the bus together. They were both fine with that!
I was nervous for John because the transition from elementary school to junior high is a big one to make, but he did great with it and soon liked junior high better than elementary school.
I got this yummy cake to celebrate!
