Fall Foliage and Stormy Skies

Today and yesterday have been cloudy and rainy. I love it! I'd be fine if the rest of October were like this. Except for Halloween; the rain would be more than a little inconvenient then, for obvious reasons!

I took these pictures in our yard last October. I love that there's a big field on one side of our yard. Today, most of the red leaves on those pretty trees in the first picture have fallen to the ground, leaving the branches mostly bare, which is how they'll remain for the next five months or so. 

Fortunately we don't have to rake those leaves--they're our next-door neighbors' trees. :-)
